Sound Lasers Could Soon Become Reality

Lasers are cool. They can be used for so many applications, from LIDARS and spectroscopy to laser scanning to laser cooling. Now, lasers made from sound, which could in theory create more precise images than their light-based counterparts might be on the horizon. ~
