Playlist View issues with ColumnsUI

After 18 years of using fb2k with Default UI, yesterday I took the plunge and created my setup in ColumnsUI for the first time... pretty major potential change for me.  One major issue though:

Normally I keep several different playlist viewer tabs with different settings each.
- one with album groupings and artwork
- one with no artwork or groupings, so that I can view random song playlists without anything split up
- one with %path% and some other fields visible, to use when I'm organizing music.

In all of them I used custom strings for the various columns, for example in the date column I use: $if2($cut(<<%original release date%>>,4),$cut(<<%date%>>,4))  and in the track number column I use $if2(<<<%discnumber%>>>,' ')  %Tracknumber%

Is there a way to get playlist views like this in columnsUI?

- The default playlist view doesn't seem to allow different configurations in different tabs.
- In JSP3, the JS Playlist sample seems to handle different configs, but I can't figure out how to add my custom column strings.
- Also in JSP3, Smooth Playlist looks great but I can't figure out how to customize it.

Anyone have any tips?   It'd be a shame to revert to Default UI just because of this.  Thanks!

Interesting - never would have thought about making a copy of the whole UI with just that change!

The Playlist Viewers to use are Playlist View (default) and JS Playlist x2.,3.
