foobar2000 v2.1 bugs

In the light theme in the "Album List" the album selection is not visible, and when there is a selection, it is dark blue, although the selection color is set to gray.
Can I make the selection everywhere gray, as specified in the settings and when switching between windows, so that the selection does not disappear?

Latest beta (2023-05-30 x64): The two debugging options ("crash on playback error" / "crash on tag write/read error") uncheck after each launch. Got a few unexpected crashes, but because of this bug no crash report have been generated.

Report a problem with "Add Location"

inserting the radio link in the "Processing File"

You have to manually create an m3u file with the radio link.

Another problem with the radios.

 is processed and thrown into the playlist but does not play anything, while in FireFox it works.

I often have stuttering sound in latest preview (2023-06-05) and must restart foobar to ged rid of this.

@pawel_na_a, you know you need to give more details unless it's a problem that is repoducible for everyone immediately without any effort. This is not one of those cases.

But I don't know what triggers that stuttering.

I can only provide list of 3rd party components:

foo_skip (Skip track)
foo_input_sacd
foo_wave_minibar_mod

And this is 64 bit version, exclusive output mode.

That's a good start. Knowing the output seems like essential information when audio output stutters. The input could also be a factor, does it happen with DSD or with everything?

Ok. And do you use any DSPs? And how long do you need to play to get the issue? And it really requires restarting foobar to fix? Seeking or stopping and restarting playback doesn't help?

Edit: bah with my memory. And do you have the smooth fader option on or off in output preferences?

Actice DSPs:
Skip track, skip silence and downmix channels to stereo.
Issue appears immediately after manually starting playback (but not always) Stopping and restarting playback help sometimes.
I have the smooth fader option on.

I fail to replicate the issue at least so far. Can you try if it happens in a clean portable install? Also does changing output buffer size affect it? Does adjusting the smooth fader option affect it? Have you tweaked the WASAPI overrides in advanced preferences?

It happens in a clean portable install with exclusive output and smooth fading on.
So I turned off smooth fader and so far stuttering didn't occured.

Anything on console? The exclusive mode should report buffer underruns on console. The output bug that was just fixed affected the code path where smooth fader was off, afaik smooth-fader-on mode should be unaffected by that.

Anyway, if this is a new issue it can be a bug that needs fixing. Fixing things is difficult if they can't be reproduced, so any more details you can give to replicate the problem should be helpful.

I can trigger the smooth fading stutter problem with 2023-06-04; 2023-06-03 seems OK so far.

Hi guys. Listening to 44.1K x 16bit, switching to new music 96K x24bit range, strange noise comes along. It only ceases after closing Foobar2000 v. 2.1 release 05.06.2023 and opening it again. Thanks.
