f2k starts very slowly

F2k V2 beta24 32Bit DUI

Since installing beta 19, f2k starts very slowly.

The message from the console is attached.
Likewise the list of components.

Maybe someone can help me here.

Looks like one of your plugin's is causing it, maybe remove them one by one starting with the oldest plugin and see if that changes anything.
Who are you and how did you get in here ?

I did that but got no improvement.

Error message: UI Element instantiation failure: UI Element Not Found
This error only occurs after importing my fth.

User Interface initialized in: 0:08.020711

Even after a complete reinstallation and configuration with Beta24 32-bit, the error message is identical.

I now have F2k installed without my configuration.

The program then started slower again after reading the media library.

(?) 5 secs is slow for you?

Mine, with just 100 tracks on library.

Without a clear reference of what you expect to not be slow, your pc config and the actual size of your library... I don't see the problem. It also depends on your UI layout.

So far I had only used cui layout and v1.6.
I guess I'm a bit spoiled by that. ;)

Then I guess I have to be content with that.

v2 is usually faster, but it depends on your config (and old plugins are slower). How much it takes on 1.6 for you? Also you can not really compare DUI vs CUI...

Thing is components loading time is not related to actual components elements loaded.

JS/SMP panels are considered part of User interface. If you go safe-mode they are disabled too. Your User Interface would report lower values and that would still give zero info, since the interface elements being slow are the ones needing other components.
I mean, this may be just semantics, but if the JS , WSH or peak meter panels are the slow ones, then components are the problem XD

That's why I stated "It also depends on your UI layout.", components may add additional time to the interface loading.

How do i start foobar in safe mode?

But it can't be because: UI Element instantiation failure: UI Element Not Found
Foobar doesn't seem to find a UI componente.

Why don't you just post your current UI layout? It would be much faster... Also what do you have on WSH and JS panels?

Also I don't really understand... if you are missing a UI element, are you able to notice which one?

For safe-mode, terminate the process at Task Manager. Then restart, it will ask you about it.

But my problem is my DUI layout. Safe-mode didn't change anything.

Normal fast start. From beta 19 the program starts much more slowly.

I have now installed the beta18, beta19 and beta20 one after the other.
After the update to Beta20, the start time increases from around 1.5 to around 8 to 9 seconds.
This will not change until beta 24.
