USB OTG support for DACs

Hi to all!, do you realize how nice it would be if foobar2000 mobile had USB OTG support for DACs just like the desktop version?, I know a couple of android apps that currently have this feature perfectly working, but I prefer foobar2000 as audio player on both platforms...just saying  8)

It requires OS support to work, and then the entire device's sound will go through the OTG device.

Or, it requires programming an entire USB stack into the app and connecting the device directly. This is unlikely to ever be supported.

Hi kode54, can I ask why it won't be ever supported?
As I said I'm using two android apps that are capable to do this perfectly:

One is:

HiBy Music:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hiby.music

The other is:

USB Audio Player PRO:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro

Of course, the mobile phone must have the USB OTG capability enabled, anyone could use this app to check:

USB OTG Checker:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.faitaujapon.otg

Thanks a lot for your input! 😉🤝👍

Both of those are proprietary apps that cost money, and I doubt their developers would be interested in sharing their methods with yet another proprietary app.

libusb would possibly work, but that has a restrictive license.
