"STOP" Mediakey pauses instead of stopping.

Hi.

I can't figure out how to make my "STOP" mediakey actually stop playback and "rewind" to the start of a track. Playback resumes at the same spot as if I'd merely paused.

Stop media key stops playback by default. But foobar2000 allows customizing them so it could have been configured to pause instead. To do that one would have to disable "Process system media key events" setting found at Preferences -> Advanded -> Tools and assign a new function at Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts.

I suppose it's also possible in theory that the keyboard sends wrong command from the key. You could check that in the Keyboard Shortcuts config. Click "Add new" and select the bottom "Key" field. Then hit the Stop key and see which command foobar2000 sees. Real stop should say "Stop (MM)".

It does indeed send "Stop (MM)"

Hi there,

Does the status bar say "Playback stopped" when you press the key? Perhaps with Playlist Attributes you have the 'Bookmark last position' option enabled for that playlist or as the global option? (In which case it would resume as if paused)

Cheers
