Windows 10 - "Manage file type associations" doesn't wor

I used to get this dialog when I click "Manage file type associations" in Windows 7:

http://cl.ly/image/2h1U0Q0j0y3K (Imagine this dialog with only file types that Foobar supports)

Now I get this dialog in Windows 10:

This is Windows 10 Final Build 10240

Windows 10 has changed the way file associations are managed. Many of us who worked with the Technical Preview are just as annoyed about it as you are.

I just uninstalled 10 and reinstalled Windows 7. Never gonna look back.

I hope this wasn't the only reason you reverted back to W7?

It not like you need to set your associations every time you open Foobar2000.
Who are you and how did you get in here ?
I'm a locksmith, I'm a locksmith.

I don't find changing the file associations in Windows 10 to be such a big chore. Once I upgraded to it I had to change flac files back to foobar. Only took a couple of seconds.

It can be done by right-clicking in File Explorer or via START --> SETTINGS --> SYSTEM etc. As the previous poster points out it only has to be done once.

Nope. I didn't just like the new OS

True, you can set a new audio player through their new Settings panel but you can't choose which file types you want to associate with Foobar2k.

That is wrong as the screenshot shows.

@Marcus Vincius: Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 8? Attempting to use foobar2000's Shell Integration -> Manage file type associations function in Windows 10 displays the message posted by Hidrojen.

Edit: Oh, I see. You need to navigate there manually through the old Default Programs control panel.

Can you explain this in more detail?

EDIT:  Sorry, now I see the breadcrumbs in the picture above.

It is important to understand that Microsoft haven't deprecated any of this functionality they've just moved it around. This is typical of new versions of Windows, the Windows Update applet has  been moved out of the Control Panel for example. MS tend to move stuff around unannounced which confuses users.

Here's a screenshot of the new Default Apps page with the link to the previous screenshot highlighted in yellow at the end.
