Component to play back PC-9801 music files

Hello all, is it possible for foobar2000 to support the playback of some PC-9801 format music? A Japanese guy has come up with a player and some DLL to play back but I assume foobar2000 is not really used in Japan, so he has no idea of migrating over. I still have some great music left for people to test and enjoy it. You could check out his website at http://c60.la.coocan.jp/download.html

Thanks.

I think they are like midi in nature but not sure. I have the same music in mp3 formats from a later generation of the game, but somehow something seems to be missing. Those PC-9801 feel. I guess in that sense it's like midi.

Thank you all.

Thanks for taking a stab at it. The author of those old DLLs didn't respond to my Github request either.

Hi Rollin, thanks to user pochaboo, I now know how to play the music files back

Download http://ux.getuploader.com/foobar2000/downl...d_v0.8.0.15.zip

Then download PMDWin036.lzh and  WinFMP018.zip from http://c60.la.coocan.jp/download.html

Unzip and put these DLLs in C:\Program Files (x86)\foobar2000\components manually

Then music files with extension .M or .OPI or .OVI could all be played back and even Japanese are displayed in the tags, except for files from "Dragon Knight 4 - PC98"
