Looped playback of audio files

Is it possible to loop-play audio files, for example wav or wavpack files?
I tried adding loop points with Wavosaur, and it wouldn't loop in FB2K when I saved as .wav .
I reopened it in Wavosaur and the loop points were there, so I know it saved.

I was wondering about this too. I came across this: http://www.slemanique.com/software/foo_input_wave_loop.html
However, there's some downsides... You need to rename the extension to .wavloop. Also, it shows the duration as 1 day, so I assume it has an absolute length.

This won't be entirely useful -- I can't remember the name of it -- but some time back I did use a plugin that let you loop sections. You could set a start point A and an end point B, and could choose to loop A>B. Perhaps this description will ring a bell with someone who could provide the name of the plugin.
That's so plausible, I can't believe it.

Aha, it's foo_menu_addons. I have no idea if it works with current foobar2000.

To figure this out I had to go to my configuration folder and look at the .cfg files left over from old plugins. I feel like an archeologist gazing at remnants of an ancient civilization.
