I'm pretty sure your AVR doesn't support FLAC.1. Transcode the FLAC it to PCM yourself and play it back in foobar and see what happens.2. Try a 16-bit 44.1KHz FLAC file and see what your AVR says.
Is there a device supporting FLAC stream over digital input (SPDIF, HDMI)? I have not heard of any yet.

No problem!1. Use foobar's inbuilt converter and convert to WAV, then playback that WAV file. I know my AVR-2805 can support 96KHz over S/P-DIF and yours is a later model.2. It maybe that your GTS450 is just passing on what your AVR supports? But that's just a guess on my part.
(...), and 7.1 digital surround sound will be added in a Release 260 driver.
